Here at the BIG COCKE RANCH aka The Ponderosa, we are looking back on a busy and event filled year! It's time to cherish the memories from new friends, customers, and acquaintances. We are reflecting on the ups and downs we experienced throughout the year. Time to learn from our mistakes and capitalize on the positive steps we made. Our theme for the year has been do more with less and get the name out.
We have truly bumbled and stumbled our way to present day, in every since of the word. The phrase blind leading the blind comes to mind, but so does the phrase about perserverance paying off! BIG COCKE CHARTERS is up to 5 lines of t-shirts (racing, hunting, charters, fighting, and choppers) Along with the shirts, we have hats, bags, boxers, coozies, stickers, and more. We acquired our beloved mascot, LUCKY, the 5 foot metal rooster earlier in the year. Our products have been well received in the 4 states that we bombarded with our banter, charisma, and enthusiasm. Even our little ole website is starting to see some activity averaging 20+ hits a day over the past couple of months. Our products are making their way into the homes and hearts of thousands as a result of our BIG COCKE CRUSADES. Success at these events has been a mystery and a puzzle. For instance, we have sold the fool out of stuff at one event, then turn around to the same type of event and same scenario and wind up wondering what went wrong. I do believe that people are starting to come out of their shell a little and sorta embrace us, our logo, and brand!
We are starting to see and develop relationships as well as repeat purchasers at some of these events. In talking with one gentlemen at a mud bog in Lake Wales, he reminded me that he purchased from us while I was set up in Stuart Florida at a fishing flea market. Several other folks have stumbled on us more than once whether we were at a mud bog, auto show, or flea market. We are even being referred to as the "BIG COCKE GUYS" as people see us at different events. So, the name is getting out; we just hope the benefits and fruits of our labor return as plentiful as we are anticipating. The seed is sown, the ground watered, now it's time to produce!
In January, we are going in jointly with an anonymous t-shirt powerhouse company that is going to direct mail 2000+ of their customers/stores with our products. This will tell the proverbial tale and let us know where we stand. Hopes and dreams are riding on this venture as everything is pointing to success! Only time will tell, but that's where we are now.
